After the earth-shattering revelations of INSURGENT, in Allegiant Part 1 Tris (Shailene Woodley) must escape with Four (Theo James) beyond the Wall that encircles Chicago to finally discover the shocking truth of what lies behind it.
The Divergent series of books were written by Veronica Roth and have been perennial New York Times best-sellers since 2011. Book sales of the “Divergent” trilogy have surged to over 34 million copies worldwide, up from 17 million at the time of DIVERGENT’s March 21, 2014 release. Allegiant sold 455,000 copies on its first day of release in 2013 to break a company record for Katherine Tegen Books/HarperCollins Publishers. Pre-orders for Allegiant exceeded those of any book in the history of HarperCollins.
The first two DIVERGENT films have grossed more than $550 million at the global box office and are Lionsgate’s highest-grossing films domestically outside THE HUNGER GAMES and TWILIGHT franchises.
The fourth installment in the series, ALLEGIANT – PART 2, is slated for release on March 24, 2017.
Erik Feig, Co-President of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, Gillian Bohrer, Lionsgate’s EVP of Production & Development, and Matt Janzen, Lionsgate’s VP, Production & Development, are overseeing the project for the studio.
Theo is the new face of men’s fragrance, Hugo Boss. More pictures will come at a later date, but for now, here’s the first photo they released.
In a press release, James is quoted as saying, “I’m honored to be representing Boss Parfums as an Ambassador in their latest perfume campaign. I have for a long time admired Boss for achieving the perfect balance between the classic and the contemporary. This campaign encapsulates the iconic spirit of the brand and reflects my own tastes and attitudes towards a truly unique fragrance.” We can’t really picture Four saying that, but then again, as long as he looks and smells like that, who are we to complain? He was never much of a talker anyway.
Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired U.S. rights to writer-director Andrew Renzi’s feature debut “Franny,” which stars Richard Gere, Dakota Fanning and Theo James, the company announced Friday.
“Franny,” which recently debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, stars Gere as the title character, a hedonistic philanthropist who manipulates his way into the lives of a deceased friend’s young daughter (Fanning) and her new husband (James).
Co-starring Clarke Peters, Cheryl Hines and Dylan Baker, the film explores the pangs of the past and reflects on what it is to be family.

John Michael McDonagh’s follow-up to Calvary, War On Everyone, has rounded out cast and booked some key deals with the shoot now underway in New Mexico.
Divergent star Theo James is the latest young talent to join McDonagh’s black comedy, which has begun principal photography in Albuquerque.
Michael Peña (Fury), Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood) and James are starring in the story of two corrupt cops who set out to blackmail and frame every criminal unfortunate enough to cross their path…until they intimidate someone who is seemingly more dangerous than they are. Or is he?
Joining in supporting roles are Tessa Thompson (Dear White People), Caleb Landry Jones (X Men: First Class), Paul Reiser (Whiplash), Stephanie Sigman (Miss Bala) and David Wilmot (The Guard).
